This year, the shop picked up a 2023 Toyota GR86 Premium in Track bRed. We took the trip up to NorCal and brought it back home in OC.
We are surprised with how much the new GR86 has to offer and our initial impressions exceeded our expectations. It’s been a while since a well balanced, rigid, rear-wheel driver car has been released and the driving experience is quite phenomenal. There are quite a few quality of life changes that make this car more enjoyable as a daily driver; things that us S2000 enthusiasts were not accustomed to. These improvements include having a back up camera, more storage space, proximity sensors, and a quieter interior cabin. The most noticeable improvement however is the increase in power when compared to the first generation BRZ/86.
We are excited for what the future has in store for us with this new chassis.
