Day 2 of Global Time Attack Finals

Day 2 showed much promise; the day was colder, the sky was clear, and Son was bumped into another group that would avoid traffic. Things were going swimmingly up until Son was experiencing rubbing in the driver's rear quarter. Except things were too good to be true. To our dismay, we discovered that our THIRD set of SPL arms have bent. AGAIN. The drop in the driver's rear was enough to throw off Son and we decided to pull out in the late morning. Regardless of the handicap, the car was still able to chip down the overall time to a 1:54:1 with a solid chunk of headroom still.

It was of great disappointment that we had to end the day early, but at least we were able to get home before traffic began to pile up. With our current setup, we are confident that the car can reach a 1:53 at Buttonwillow. Until then, we will be doing research and hopefully find a set of RLCAs that won't fail on us in the near future.
